Name:  Lynnda Chinkes
How long riding: 25 years
First bike: I bought a 10 speed powder blue Huffy with my babysitting money when I was a teen.  It was fun test riding it in the parking lot at the bike shop.
Favorite Ride (ever): Riding a century up to some friend’s cabin and carbo loading with a huge spaghetti feed once we finally got there.
Favorite Racer: Pantani or Cipolini
Comments: The freedom of riding a bike was fascinating to me as a kid.  Getting the first bike under the Christmas tree and riding them around in the basement during the cold winters was fun.  More to come later…

Name:  John Chinkes
How long riding: 29 years
First bike: Huffy BMX, I think, we painted it black and did not replace the stickers
Favorite Ride (ever): My house up Coal Creek Canyon back to Boulder and home
Favorite Racer: Jens Voigt
Comments: I have been riding since I was six, I learned at a friend’s house.  He lived at the bottom of two hills and you could coast down one and most of the way up the other.  So I started learning how to pedal up to the top of the other hill so I could keep riding.  Since then I have been racing all over the US and even a little in Europe.  Mostly not winning but a few times, ah, it is nice to be first.  Knowing the effort it takes to win at my level I love watching the professionals dueling it out!

Name:  John Twa
How long riding: 30 years
First bike: An orange Schwinn... not a very memorable bike.
Favorite Ride (ever): 2006 mountain bike tour through the Indian Himalaya
Favorite Racer: Geoff Kabush
Comments: The only reason I ride my bike is so that I can eat Pop-Tarts, drink Belgian beer, and still fit into my britches.   Oh, and I like shaving my legs too.
